"How to Upload Custom Reports to Personify360" Video Transcript
Right now, I've created custom report called Constituent Demographic Report that lists all the constituent information.
And I also set up an ID, I'll set up a Master Customer ID as a parameter. So when you run a report, you can run for a specific customer or you can run it for all customer.
Right now, I've also set up the reports of when I've typed in all. It returns all the constituents that are in your system. Next thing that I need to do is to save the report.
I've saved this report as a CUS9001. CUS is because it's a customer-based report, and 9001 is because it's an online custom report. And with the custom report, we usually starts with the number nine.
Once I save this, I need to close this report and go back to Personify. In Personify, you have to be a system administrator to be able to do this, either system administrator or superuser.
Once I'm in Personify, I go to Reporting, I go to TRS application setup. And first thing I need to do is to check whether that my report or the name for my report is already existed or not.
In this case, I'm going to type in CUS9001. And when I do a search, it says, "No records were found," meaning I'm okay to create any one. So I'm going to create, click on the Create New.
Now under Subsystem, I'm going to change this to Customer because it's a customer-based report. The Application, it's going to be my report name, which is CUS9001 without the extension. And the Description, I'm going to type in Customer Demographic Report. Submit Type, it's going to be Online.
The Application Type, it's going to be Crystal Report because it's a crystal report. The Program is also going to be the same thing as the application, which is going to be CUS9001, except this time, we're going to add the extension to it, which is the RPT, which is that Cristal Report extension.
The Job Priority, I'm going to give it a 10. What Job Priority is, is basically, if you submit us the same report at the same time, whichever reports that has the higher priority will run first.
In this case, I'm just going to type in 10. You can type in whatever you want to type in the Job Priority, but I usually leave it as 10.
On the Allow, I'm going to check on the Allow Concurrent Run, also I'm going to allow the Job Cancellation. Meaning this job can be run by multiple users at the same time, and it can also be canceled if needed.
On the Help Text, I usually just copy the description and paste it in there. And once I'm done, I'm going to click Save and it's going to say, "Changes were saved successfully."
Once I'm done with this, the next step that I need to do is I want to click on Upload Report File. Upload Report File, since it's an online report, I'm going to leave it as an Online Report, and also it's a custom report because it's not a base report.
And now I'm going to browse to look for my report. And I find my CUS9001 right there. And I'm going to click and upload. One tip is, if you leave your mouse in the bottom right-hand corner, whenever the report is uploaded, you will see that the message will stay there instead of just disappearing.
Now that you've seen that, you get the message that the report has been uploaded to Business Objects Server. Now you're good. You're going to go back to the Report Maintenance tab.
Now remember, I have a Master Customer ID as a parameter. I can add that parameter manually, however, Personify is smart enough, the system is smart enough that if I click on the Refresh Parameter option right here, it'll look for the parameter that's in the report and bring it back here, and upload it here, and put it back here in the system.
I am going to put my Default Value here as All. Once I'm done, I'm going to save this report. Next thing that I need to do is, I need to link this report to a screen. So the easiest way to do it is just add it to the CRM360 screen.
So when I click Search, it says that I have more than 500 records, "Do you want to continue?" I'm going to click Yes. And I'm going to sort this by application first, and I'm going to type in CRM360 right there.
All right. And under Report Category, I'm just going to put as a Customer Demographic Category and I'm going to check this to make sure it's active. And I am going to click Save.
All right. And once I'm done with this, now if I go back to a home page, I can click on the Run Online Report, type in CUS9001. It appears. See, I put the default value as All, it shows up there.
So now if I want to run this report, I can just click Run Report and it look for the Crystal Report, pass the parameter that I pass that I enter, and then return the report.

I could also go to a CRM360 or 360 page. And as you see under the report, I already have a…it added a customer demographic link to it. So if I click on this as well, it fires up the report page, and I can run the report.
And again, it'll give me back a result for whatever parameter that I passed. ♪ [music] ♪
